Affordable and accessible with personalized attention to each individual student, Maine's best educational value offers Associate Degrees in 16-24 months, as well as shorter Certificate programs. Degree programs include Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Technology, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Legal Studies, Medical Assisting, Office Administration, and Travel & Tourism. Certificate programs include Computer Technology, Medical Transcriptionist, Administrative Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Paralegal, and Travel & Tourism.
Most programs can be taken during the day or in the evening on a full-time or part-time basis. Open enrollment is offered on a continuous basis to those with a high school diploma or a G.E.D. Students can begin classes throughout the year in September, November, January, March, May, or July. All classes are eight weeks in length.
On-campus facilities include over 100 computers with the latest software and Internet access, a sophisticated medical lab, a full-service library, and barrier-free access.
Andover College also offers free placement services and lifetime placement assistance to all students and graduates.
With the modular approach to education, the student is not forced to enter college in September or January as is required in a regular semester-based school, but has any one of six class-starting dates to choose from throughout the year. Class days are fixed with both the student and business community in mind. A student may accept full- or part-time employment with full confidence that his or her schedule will always be the same. A student can go to school during the day and have every afternoon and Friday off or go to school two nights a week and have every day off. The Placement Department is always available to students offering lifetime placement assistance to all graduates, interviewing and resume writing skills, full-time, part-time, and temporary job leads, and a cooperative education program so students may gain hands-on experience before they enter the workplace.
