Central Maine Community College provides quality, accessible college education and lifelong learning opportunities. It provides: career and technical education, education for transfer to baccalaureate programs, and services to support economic development and community vitality.
CMCC is located on the shore of Lake Auburn in Auburn, ME. The 110-acre campus provides a beautiful setting for classrooms, hands-on learning laboratories, dormitories, dining, gym, and recreational facilities.
The Associate in Arts-Liberal Studies and General Studies (AA) is offered specifically to provide the first two years of education for transfer to a bachelor's program at a four-year college or university. Two-year programs leading to an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) or Associate in Science (AS) Degree are offered in Accounting, Applied Technical Studies, Architectural & Civil Engineering, Automotive Technology, Automotive Parts & Service Management, Ford ASSET, Building Construction, Business Administration & Management, Business & Computer Applications, Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management, Clinical Lab Science, Computer Technology, Early Childhood education, Education, Electromechanical Technology, Graphic Arts/Printing, Human Services, Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Occupational Health & Safety, and Radiologic Technology. Central Maine Community College offers a program in Trade & Technical Occupations designed specifically for those with registered apprenticeship work experience. A program in Applied Technical Studies offers credit based on approved work experience which leads to an AAS degree as well.
One-year certificate programs are offered in Culinary Arts, Medical Transcription, Building Construction, Business Admin. & Management, Early Childhood Education, Electromechanical Technology, Graphic Arts/Printing, Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Occupational Health & Safety.
CMCC provides both credit and non-credit courses for people who are not currently pursuing a degree program. Offerings are also available from the regular CMCC course schedule on an "as space is available" basis, in both day and evening sections. Often this option provides students with the opportunity to apply coursework towards future program requirements.
CMCC's Corporate and Community Services division offers regional business and industry opportunities for general or specialized training on campus or at the business location.
