Husson College offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Accounting, Biology Teacher Education, Business Administration (family business, finance, general, hospitality management, international business, management, marketing, small business management, or sports management), Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Elementary Education, Nursing, Paralegal Studies, Psychology, Physical Education and Biology. Physical and Occupational Therapy degrees are also offerd. PT is a six-year degree awarding a doctorate in physical therapy; OT is a five-year master's level program.
In addition, Husson offers Associate in Science (A.S.) degree programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Information Systems (computer), and Paralegal Studies. A one-year undeclared major is offered.
Husson is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, and the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
A graduate program leading to a Master of Science (MSB) in Business is offered with concentrations in Health Care Management and Non-profit Management. This program is designed to provide management skills to adults holding undergraduate degrees in education, business and liberal studies. Accounting, Business Administration and Computer Information Systems offer a fifth year option leading to a Master of Science in Business degree. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) has two tracks-Family and Community Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nursing.
Husson is located on a 180-acre campus on the outskirts of Bangor, one of the top 100 cities in the nation for quality of life and safety. The campus is a mixture of forest lands and open space, residence halls including Greek, non-Greek, honors and singles accommodations. Academic facilities include library, classrooms, science, health and computer labs plus nearby clinical opportunities. Athletic facilities include Olympic-size pool, gymnasium, playing fields and exercising rooms supporting fitness and NCAA III intercollegiate sports; these include the Clara Swan Fitness Center, John Boucher Soccer Field, John Winkin Baseball Complex and the Harold Alfond Baseball Diamond (artificial turf).
The Husson College Continuing Education and Extension Division offers degree programs at several convenient locations throughout Maine. Husson College Site Coordinators are available tat extension locations. Adults are encouraged to contact the local Site Coordinator with any questions about the program. Students may also call the Bangor CED office at 941-7121.
Saturday classes meet 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m. or 12:45 p.m.-5 p.m. on alternating Saturdays throughout the fall and spring semesters. Classes are also offered Monday through Thursday evenings at convenient times for those who work full-time.
Continuing Education courses are offered at the following locations: Bangor, Lewiston, Portland and Caribou.
