The New England School of Communications, a media and communications focused college, offers Bachelor and Associate of Science degrees in Communications, and Certificate programs in Broadcasting. Concentrations include Digital Media, Radio Announcing and Production, Advertising/Public Relations, Television Production, sound Recording/Audio Engineering, Broadcast Journalism, and Sports Commentating.
Concentrations offered prepare students for careers in communication and media fields through immediate, practical, real-world training and field experience. Low student/faculty ratio provides students with individual program development in a creative and supportive atmosphere.
Located on Husson College campus in Bangor, Maine, facilities include a new, high-tech Communication Center with digital, industry-accepted technology, residence halls, dining commons, chapel, library, and gymnasium with pool, fitness center and recreational facilities. A number of studios include an FM Radio Station, TV Studio with editing suites, and a professional sound-recording studio, all of which accentuate a hands-on learning environment.
Adult non-matriculated students may take classes on a part-time basis when space is available. Special workshops and seminars are also open to the public offering different facets of the communications industry.
