Rockport College is an arts-based conservatory for imagemakers committed to photography or film and new media. The first year of the two-year Associate of Arts degree provides the foundation liberal arts courses to prepare students for their second intensive year when they are immersed in their major course of study. This career-based program is ideal for students just out of high school or more mature individuals looking to refocus their profession.

In 1996 the Workshops initiated a Masters of Fine Arts program in photography, cinematography, directing, and editing. The MFA program is for professionals who want to develop a mastery of their craft, continue their academic studies, and complete a major work, such as a book, film, or personal project, while pursuing an MFA degree. The program provides a stimulating, supportive and structured environment in which to work and grow artistically and professionally. This low-residency program may be taken primarily off-campus if desired.

Each summer the Workshops holds more than 200 one week workshops and master classes. Here, visual artists, professional photographers, filmmakers, students and amateurs spend an intensive week with their masters improving their eye, mastering their craft, exploring their career options and stretching their personal vision.
