Unity College is an independent, co-educational college, located in Unity, Maine near the shores of Lake Winecook. Our 250-acre campus includes a 100-acre tree farm, community garden and extensive nature trails. Highlights of the campus include the Student Center, the gymnasium that also houses the climbing wall, the Learning Resource Center and the Outdoor Adventure Center that provides a wide array of equipment for outdoor enthusiasts. The Unity College education is a unique combination of interdisciplinary liberal arts with professional preparation in the environmental field. Our Environmental Stewardship Curriculum is a key component in educating students on the inter-relatedness of the various disciplines that comprise environmental studies. Unity offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Adventure Education Leadership, Adventure Therapy, Conservation Law Enforcement, Ecology, Environmental Analysis, Environmental Biology, Environmental Education, Environmental Policy, Environmental Science, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Forestry, Landscape Horticulture, Parks, Recreation & Ecotourism, Wildlife, Wildlife Biology, Wildlife Care and Education, and Wildlife Conservation. Bachelor of Arts degrees include Environmental Humanities, and Environmental Writing; plus a Bachelor of General Studies is offered. Associate degrees are also offered in Liberal Studies, Landscape Horticulture and Environmental Science.

Unity College's Learning Resource Center is an academic center that provides instruction and supportive services to students. The staff of the LRC includes faculty members, a learning disabilities specialist and trained peer tutors. The Center offers courses and services designed to promote individual development. Academic skill improvement is addressed through developmental courses, tutorial assistance, and study skills instruction; personal growth is encouraged through workshops and advising. With the support of the LRC, most students improve their study habits, develop more effective learning strategies, succeed in their coursework and acquire a quality college education. The LRC offers the following programs: academic courses, placement testing, services for learning disabled students, study skills workshops, tutoring, and SAGE (Student Academic Growth Experience).
